The Dave Holland Quartet will perform as a part of inaugural season of Amherst College's Parallels Series. The series is dedicated to gives us to the embrace of new musical ideas as genres new and old collide, intersect, form and transform to make beautiful and engaging music.  The quintet, composed of Mr. Holland on bass, trombonist Robin Eubanks, vibraphonist Steve Nelson, saxophonist Chris Potter and drummer Nate Smith, keep their music vibrant and vital by both delving deep into global rhythmic traditions and integrating innovations from the worlds of hip-hop and R&B.
